We love Otrio!! It’s such a simple game but the added twist to the basic tic tac toe game makes it more enjoyable over and over again. The inventor’s edition is very luxe and well made. Totally worth it!! Makes for great decor too ;)

A tactile pleasure becoming part of our family memories, Otrio caters for competitive grandfathers and young people who really want to win a straight line, how hard can it be? Keep an eye on competitive grandfathers, sleight of hand is a skill you have to teach youngsters to spot. Meanwhile the master fabrication and perfection of this board and the rings makes all the paper, card board and plastic usually handled seem a distant memory, for other people.

WHERE do I start?! Oh my gosh, we are hooked! We live in New Orleans, and a very dear friend of mine is no joke, a NASA rocket scientist, and he turned us onto the game. I swear I think we played for four hours! My best friend, and I ordered it the same day! We brought it home for Thanksgiving and we annihilated our siblings. The thrill of annoying our brothers was everything! They are the worst sore winners, and we finally found a game that they could not dominate. It’s such a different mindset to play this. You have to count on everybody blocking the next person. So it takes everyone to win or lose, and as you see in the photos, even Trouble (poodle)got in on it! Rebel the yellow lab crashed out. Thank you so much for inventing the game based on cafeteria booths! Proof that inspiration can be found anywhere. Keep inventing!

We love this game! However we painted our gray pieces as it was difficult to tell them apart from the black pieces. Copper would be a nice option with the other metal colors.

My friends and myself absolutely love this game. I originally played the game with the multicolor plastic pieces that a friend had brought over. I loved it so much that I purchased the inventors edition. When not in use I leave it out on the coffee table as it makes a beautiful art piece as well. Also by leaving out and not storing it away in a closet it can make for a conversation piece which will inevitably lead to some friendly games where hours of gameplay flyby. A standard game of tic tac toe can be boring in which most games end in a tie, but not this game. This game almost always has a winner and motivates you to play another round. You will not be disappointed with the purchase of this game.

This is one of the most beautifully crafted games I've seen. Not only was the woodwork on the game board perfect, the rings of various metals attractive, but the packaging itself was a work of art. The stunning copperish metallic circles and brand logo were so lovely, I decided not to wrap the gift at all...just added a copper bow and done! It's cocktail table worthy, much like a fine chess set. I will be ordering again when I decide who of my friends deserves such a treasure!

We have the metal edition and it looks so classy when not being played. Our only feedback is wishing the smallest pieces were taller. They are hard to pick up with their current height. Great game! Santa happened to bring the Inventor’s Edition to our house this year and my wife, two teenagers and myself cannot get enough of it! With multidimensional ways to win, it’s actually more challenging than it appears and teaches one to think strategically way past the next move. To me, this is better than just another game of chance. I was initially attracted to this game by the the pure looks of it - it jumped off the page of the magazine I was reading (Dwell). CNC-engraved walnut that is super-precise looking appealed to my preference for well-designed items. Placing the aluminum pieces in the grooves is oddly satisfying. The overall design is fantastic and it is literally the ONLY game in our house we allow to sit out of it’s packaging on a table as it looks like an art piece as much as it does a game. My only critique would be that in certain lighting, the space gray colored pieces can look like the black pieces (adapting to the environment is part of any game and my son has learned to use this to his advantage!). Overall, I highly recommend!

This game is a lot of fun! I brought this home to my family who were apprehensive at first but as soon as we got into the game everyone was taking it very seriously. Once you understand the strategy behind winning, you won’t want to stop playing! It also pairs well with wine as your opponents quickly become worse at the game a few glasses in!

Otrio was a Christmas gift for my family--daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren (ages 9 and 13). We live 600 miles apart and have not seen each other in person for over a year now; we visit on FaceTime often. I bought this because my 12 year old loves tic tac toe. This adds 2 more layers of challenge to it. I beat him the first few games, but then he started beating me. You have to be careful not to lose sight of what your opponent is doing! Great game!

We just bought the Inventors Edition of Otrio as a Christmas gift. It is beautifully made. Thus we are still learning 2 person strategies. The idea is for 2 persons to play the 4 person game. Alternating turns giving each a chance to win with either of his or her two colors. An excellent way to spend time away from the TV serial reruns while isolating from the virus.

While I bought the inventor's edition for its aesthetic qualities, I found it to be a fantastic game to play. From the 10-year-old on up to the 85-year-old, it's fun for all and quick to play—though play tends to go on and on. Members of my family then purchased the colorful plastic version for themselves and their friends, and we found the inexpensive colorful version much easier to use, because the inventor's version's beautiful metal pieces are quite similar in color (in some lighting situations). Anyway, Otrio (with its super-clever name) is a total winner.
